The school library is open to all students during school hours on all working days. All classes are provided with one library period per week. Students have to observe the following rules:
1. The students during their library period shall have open access to the library collection except the reference material. The reference collection will only be consulted in the library under the supervision of the librarian.
2. In case of loss of the book, it shall be replaced along with the fine or double the price has to be paid by the student.
3. Silence and discipline should be maintained while reading in the library.
4. A fine of one rupee per day per volume will be charged for overdue books and periodicals.
5. Any book/periodical can be recalled by the Librarian before the expiry of the due date in case of urgent need.
6. One book is issued for a period of one week at a time. Students must carry their library cards when they go to the library.
7. Students are allowed to get books only on their own cards.
8. If the books are returned late without a valid reason the borrowing facility is withdrawn for two weeks.
9. The library has an open shelf system and students must help to maintain order and organization in the different shelves. They must put the books on the tables after consultation and not just anywhere on the shelves.
10. Any child found damaging or defacing a book will be debarred from using the library for the whole academic year.
11. Students under detention will report to the library during break and out of class activities.
12.The faculty and staff members will be issued the books and periodicals for a period of 14 days. However, the subject teachers will be issued the prescribed texts for the entire session for teaching purpose.
